Known for its Ski wear, Moncler was founded in 1952 and took its name from the abbreviation of Monestier-de-Clermont, an Alpine town near Grenoble, France. Their first quilted jackets used to protect workers from the cold. It wasn’t until a mountaineer by the name of Lionel Terray saw them in use that their potential was seen. Used in a handful of expeditions and Winter Olympics, today Monclers recognisable logo can be seen down high streets and cat walks around the world. Thanks to its creative collaborations under its Moncler Genius line the brand has only grown more and more has the years have gone by.
